I am only recently connected to ''THE NET'' so I have missed most of the Hadzicky patent v.s. Quadriphant building plans, discussion. But I am a bit curious about a new 4-line design by Spectra Sport that I have so far only seen as a picture in their latest catalog. It's called the SOLUTION which probably refers to finding a solution to avoid the Revolution patent. Is this kite already on the market and - if yes - can anyone tell me how it flies, and in what respect it is different from other 4-line designs ?? thanks, NOP = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Tue, 21 Feb 1995 22:32:49 -1000 From: dickbell@netcom.com (Dick Bell) Message-Id: Organization: NETCOM On-line Communication Services (408 261-4700 guest) Subject: Re: 4-line kites - designs - patents ?? However have you seen the Synergy- Deca by Guildworks Flight Studio, this is also 4-line and apparently patented. I would like to have details on that one if possible. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I tried a few times to ring you today but could not get through, will try again as I have an order to place with you (please let me know if your number has altered). It was one from the designer, Quadline Charlie. I found it flew very good: very large pull for the wind speed, the exact same performance forward and back- ward, and it flew sideways better than any fourline kite I have flown. The one I flew had a fiberglass frame and flew very well for the 5 mph winds on that day. With a wrapped graphite frame it would fly really good. The Solution kite was first made by Charley Mclarey (sorry I am sure that that is spelled wrong) in 1992 I think. He lives in southern Califonia. I have flown one... and like most things it is not better or worse so much as different.
