Junction, Texas is a small town located approximately 120 miles NW of San Antonio. The Center, a 416 acre area on the South Llano River, has workshop facilities, food service, and dorms adjacent to a 40 acre flying field. All facilities are open 24 hours a day. The only way I know how to describe the center - is - It is very western ( I think you have seen this sight in a John Wayne movie). It is in a canyon with flat platou's surrounding the buildings on each side. There are catus on the outskirts of the flying field.(not to worry) This land is sacred indian grounds. I guess I havn't given much of a picture, but, it is very very pretty. You won't be disapointed. Anyway here are the address's: (before May 7) Betty Street Texas Tech University Box 42081 Lubbock, Tx 79409-2081 USA Phone- (806) 742-3027 (W) (806) 745-6803 (H) Fax- (806) 742-3878 (after May 7) Betty Street TTU Center P.O. Box 186 Junction, TX 76849 Phone- (915) 446-2301 Fax- (915) 446-4011 For our friends that will be coming from out of State (Texas). My suggestion would be to fly into Austin and bumb a ride from some of our Texas Kite Builers There is no reason at all to bring a car to the center. Everything that you could need will be there. If there are any questions then please feel free to ask. If I don't have all of the answers I will get them. Hope to see a few of the Rec.Kiters there 8:> Later -- dickbell@netcom.com <<= Dick Bell =>> = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
