Not a major event? Itsn't this the Berkeley Kite Festival?
Also, West Coast Stunt Kite Championships? And this years
American Kite Magazine's All American event? (Sorry, couldn't
resist. :-)

While we're on the subject... Who's planning on attending?
I'll be there, arriving the weekend before and leaving a
week and a half after the event. (This is public notice
that I will be on vacation/holiday for 2.5 weeks, and will
not be available to handle rec.kites archive submissions.)

Shall we organize a little get-together?

- Kevin

A r.k get-together sounds good to me.. I'll be there, and I'm reasonably
sure that other rec.kiters will include Darrin Skinner, Steve Thomas, Kobe
Eshen, Anne Rock, Dan Whitney, Karen Gustavson, and *thousands* more..
:-), (well, maybe *several*)..

I will be there too. I used to live in Albany and attended UC Berkeley.
Since I still have family in SF and East Bay, I will be in the area for
two weeks following the event. I will look you up.

... sounds of Jo and Lee having a good chuckle over that remark!!
and probably Chuck, and Anne, and Darrin, and Brooks, and George,
and Kobi, and Greg, and Steve, and Karen, and all the other rec.kiters
out there who have witnessed the near-logarithmic growth of the Berkeley
Kite Festival over the last half-dozen or so years, some of whom do
sometimes yearn for the days when the BKF was as small as Robert
suggests.....

I do agree with Robert that it is a great place to visit with friends
and fellow fliers, as are most kite festivals (isn't that reason
why some of us go?)

: > While we're on the subject... Who's planning on attending?

Lee and I will be there, as always. He will be judging some events,
and I will be hanging out and chatting and perhaps flying a kite or 2
(and hiding in the Porta-Potty when they call for the kid's candy drop...
there is NOTHING more delightful than hordes of screaming children
waiting for candy to drop from the sky...unless it's their parents. :-)

At least a couple! See you all there - Jo & Lee

Yes, lets! I'll be there too. Look for me hand cuffed to a keyboard.
