I checked with the local Drachenladen(Kite Store).
They have a Blackbird on stock. The documentation is in french.
There is a mention of a Copyright and Registered. As my knowledge
of French leaves a lot to be desired. I was unable to determine
is this related to the kite, name or both.

I would suggest that the plan be removed until this matter is clarified.

Bruno, can you translate this documentation for us.

Over-the-Rainbow,
John Mitchell

Hi folks !

I don't know if the plan is registered or not, only in France or in the
rest of the World.
First, I would not recommend to use this plan, because there are some
minor errors .. but this kite is so radical .. one mistake and this is the
end.
One of my good friends had a first experience with mine, and was not
convinced. I just adjust 2mm (1/8") and I found my tuning ok for the low
wind conditions. He had a second experience with it, and felt the kite
awfull, ununsable. This was fine for me. This kite is defenetely not a
Tracer.

The shape of the sail is **very** sophisticated, and I have seen about
tons of sails in garbage because they were not good enought in Black Bird
Factory.
The reason why I personnaly would not recommend to throw the plan away is:
this is a good information. But I highly recommend not to use it as it.
But everybody is free, do what you want.

Cheers, have good winds ;-)

I have heard arguments saying that it is a different kite, and that is is the
same kite.

I have removed the kite from FTP & WWW access out of respect for the fact that
the source of the plan does not know. I will not participate in knowingly
ripping someone off.

If anyone does have any plans that they would like to see online i urge people
them to email them to hawaii, andrew, myself or any or many of the places
where they can be available online. the more of a resource we can create the
better.
