Just like every day when the mail runs I always drive up to the box in my truck and pull the ever growing bundle of semi-junk, bills and to my delight something with the words " kite " written either in a letter or flyer with great kites and stuff to buy. I even get a newsletter or magazine from time to time. :-) Tonight the mail at first brought delight then sad feelings, you see, I recieved the spring issue of Kiting. A newsletter from our friends at the AKA. Normally spring brings warmth, new creatures being born, not to mention the brisk spring winds that we all try to harness with our stretched lines and kites so colorful that we try to memick mother nature herself. But tonight a sad moment indeed. Brooks Leffler for reasons unbeknown to me at least, has decided to resign from his office as executive director of the AKA. I for one would like to extend my very best wishes to Brooks in whatever endevors he may pursue and to thank him so very much for his allways being there when I needed his assistance. I can only say that Brooks realy is GOLDEN and will always be a true friend to all of us kiters. Thanx Brooks, It's been a blast. If you need anything then it's yours. Later. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dick Bell dickbell@netcom.com Dallas, Texas = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
