Subject: Buggy Kite String lengths

I was wondering if 150 ft 500 pound line is too long ?

I've been buggying with 3 flexi's 1 8 at 2 super 10's but the line length 
is hugh, I had a chat to this guy in a kite shop in Salisbury (Cunning 
Stunts UK) and he reckoned to hack them down to 100 ft or lower because I 
was losing power !  

Any help would be kinda Cool

Good quality 300 LB line is enough for most buggiers, you can only aply so
much resistance to your kite when you are in a buggy. Shorter line length
will decrease your power. I hve been with Peter Lynn when he has folded a
set of line in half to decrease the power in a kite.

Cutting the lines will mean that you spend more time turning and less time in
the power zone.  The thing that is likely to be hurting you is the *weight*

Try 300lb, 150' lines - that's plenty of strength for regular buggying.
