These are some of the oldest and most enjoyable festivals I have ever attended!! 1. Frank Mots Kite Festival Saturday, Sept.16 at McKinley Park (just North of downtown Milwaukee on Lake Michigan). Mass launch is set for 12 noon. Lots of single and dual line stuff, combined with some of the nicest people, make this event special! 2. Chicagoland Skyliners' Sky Circus Saturday and Sunday, Sept 23 & 24 at Ned Brown Woods - Rt 53 & Golf Rd. Schaumburg, IL.(just east from the Woodfield Mall) One of the premier kite festivals in the US, the Sky Circus event has been around for ages. Incredible single line creations will fill the sky, as well as sport kite demonstrations and surprise guest flyers. This is a real kite party! Also, on Sunday, the annual Rokaku battles will be staged in the same field. All flyers are welcome to participate! Bring a lunch, chairs and ALL of your kite stuff! Its a happening!! Mares eat oats, and Does eat oats, But I prefer a nice heavy Ale! = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
