The recent discussion on the Baden-Powells reminded me that I once 
read that the Cody kite was developed by Buffalo Bill.
Another confusion.  Buffalo Bill was William Frederick Cody, 1846-1917;
his contemporary of the same surname, but not related, was
Samuel Franklin Cody, 1861/62-1913, who moved from kite building to 
true aviation.

Just thought I'd throw that in.
