The presentation is designed to inform judges and contestants of some of their basic responsibilities. The presentation also helps to recruit new judges. Since most people have either not read the rules book, do not have a recent copy, have not kept up with the Sport Kite Committees changes over the last few issues of kiting, or even not familiar with the changes specific to your event, the presentation can easily accomidate those changes. The seminar is usually provided to the contestants and judges the night before the event. It is about one hour long and incorporates not only the AKA International Sport Kite Rules but also several ideas from a variety of individuals with a few judging tips. The presentation is not without a few drawings "stolen" from a variety of places and then re-drawn to limit the amount of disk space needed. Drawings can include event sponsors, comics or hand drawings. There can even be pictures, but it is suggested that pictures be left to the user. Pictures, created from a scanned image are huge and included in a portable presentation like create an even bigger file. I have taken the time to redraw several kite related comics which include: Peanuts, The Wizard of ID, Frank & Ernest and several others. The presentation is on Microsoft Power Point and is a little over 500,000kb's. It is a useful tool and can be presented directly to a Television. I am in the process of trying to put the presentation on VCR for those who are without computers. If you would like a copy of this presentation, please send me enough to cover postage and a 3.5" disk and I will be more than happy to send it out. If you would like the presentation modified to suit your event that's negotiable. So far the presentation has been seen at the Bluebonnet Kite Fest & Sport Kite Competition and the Prarire Winds Kite Fest & Sport Kite Competition. The presentation is a great way to sell AKA rules books. Since it outlines some of the more basic issues in the book it is almost a necessity to have one. This makes utilizing the presentation event more easier because that is all you need as a hand out. I am currently working on a computerized slide presentation for the Single Line Comprehensive Rules. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
