I know of two very good catalogs. One is the Cutting Edge Catalog from
Washington State (look them up under "Cutting Edge Kites" in Washington
State).

Another is the Chicago Kite Company catalog, in Chicago.

Sorry, I don't have phone #'s for either of these--anybody out there know
them?

Both of these catalogs are run by avid flyers and enthusiasts. Both of
the proprieters, for that matter belong or have belonged to Master's
Class flying teams. Both have been around quite a while, and are very
reputible. Both feature the very latest in sport kite designs, and are
very knowledgible about what they sell.

I don't think you can go wrong by buying kites from either of these
catalogs--perhaps go with the one closer to your home...

[Gotta go--can't spell-check!]

The phone number for Cutting Edge Kites is 1-800-972-9885. You may
also want to try D.J. Sport Kites at 717-246-1214 in PA (Dodd Gross
is also a Master Class flyer and pretty knowledgable) and Caught In A
Tree in NY at 516-842-3112. (Steve & Jim don't compete, but they do
fly at the beach with us and are pretty nice guys) I believe they
also have 800 numbers but I don't have them on me.

                                with both)

Chicago Kite Co. is run by Wilma and Bob Neiman, Bob is the AKA regional
director as well as a member of the Chicago Fire masters class team. I
can definately recommend this store/catalog. I have no relationship with
the Chicago Kite Company other than shipping a LARGE portion of my paycheck
to them.

The Phone number for Cutting Edge Kites is 1-800-972-9885.
I just purchased a Peter Lynn kite buggy from them and a 72 square foot
quadrifoil. The people there are very helpful, and customer oriented.
They even have an easy pay monthly installment plan. I am impressed.

I too have had good success with Cutting Edge Kites (am awaiting my latest
order, an asteroid).

I have also enjoyed reading the catalog from Into the Wind and ordering from
them (800-541-0314) -- I especially like their Hata (fighter) kites.

Just got a catalog from 'Into The Wind' in Boulder, CO. You might want to
check them out. Nice 80 page full color catalog.

Phone: 800-541-0314

They have all kinds of kites as well as line, reels, bags, etc...

I've purchased quite a few kites from Adventures Kites. It's owned by Ray
Lucas, who is willing to spend incredible amounts of time on the phone
with you answering questions. His number is 813-846-0483.

I just found out that Dodd Gross's New Catalog D.J.Sportkites 1995 is
still not finished yet, but will be out soon(middle of April he says)and
full of illistrations and info but fewer kites to make the choices easier.
He researches and writes the reviews himself and I trust him.
I have been buying from him for a few years and he is always kept me
informed and flying high, Keep up the good work Dodd
