YES we are sunshine fliers :-)) So what about a kite fliers meeting at a place which almost guarantees sunshine? We discussed this issue with Jean-Gil and Mona from France and out of a sudden the idea got airborne: 1st International Kite Fliers Meeting Franqui-Plage 18th to 26th August 1995! Franqui-Plage is located between Narbonne and Perpignan at the french mediterrainian coast close to the spanish border. Expect and beach about 500 metres wide and 8 kilometres long. Hard sand (perfect for buggies) and accessible by motor vehicles. Expect also no crowds, because the french school holidays are over at that time of the year. Just imagine a barbeque with a glass of good french wine at the beach in the evening. Even in the evening temperatures are still around 18 C! One week perfect kite holidays. If you want to make a break at Barcelona in Spain, itos just 90 Minutes by car and Barcelona International Airport makes it easy to arrive from overseas. Car Rental is very inexpensive in Spain. Or you may be interested in visiting the world famous Dali Museum just 50 km apart at the village where Dali was born. In any case at Franqui-Palge there will be no hassle, no competitions, no loudspeakers and no *trade*. Just fun and sun and kites.
