Generally, manufacturers don't sell to "end-users". They sell to stores who then resell (retail) to fliers. The AKA prints a list of about 150 stores in their Directory and bi-monthly news. Dues are $20 in the USA for one year. Call 800-252-2550. If you really need manufacturers, call the Kite Trade Association at 415-764-4908. They have a directory of retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers. Finally, there are a number of kite artists who will sell direct to users, rather than to stores. Compiling a list of these folks is difficult, and probably won't mean much unless you are familiar with their work. Some have catalogs available (George Peters, Stretch Tucker, Kevin Shannon, Ron Gibean, to name a few). Some even have web sites (Carl Crowell & Bobby Stanfield). Hope that helps. Also hope I haven't offended too many people that I have left out. -- David Gomberg/Cascade Kites phone 503-996-3083 Box 113, Neotsu Oregon 97364 USA fax 503-994-9692 Specializing in BIG "show" kites Peter Lynn Inflatibles, Giant Flowforms, Spinsocks, and Imports = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Tue, 21 Mar 1995 23:51:55 -1000 From: Don_Kern@desktop.org (Don Kern) Message-Id: <1692008414.14855506@desktop.org> Organization: WestNet @ Desktop Assistance @ Helena MT Subject: Kite Manufacturers I'm new to kite flying and there is little or no information here in Big Sky Country (Montana).
