When you enter the directory kites/simulation/kfd/kf-upgrade, the Bremen
ftp site (ftp.uni-bremen.de) automatically displays the following message:

You are entering the directory containing upgrades for registered
users of the program KiteFlight by Peter van den Hamer. Updated copies
of the freeware version of KiteFlight (KFD.EXE) are found as
kfd_xxx.zip in a nearby directory.  Please do not copy the files in
this directory unless you are a registered KiteFlight users.

You can become a registered KiteFlight user if you own a copy of the
commercial version of KiteFlight (sold as a floppy in a CD box). To
register (free), send an E-mail message to vdhamer@prl.philips.nl .

All registered users who have an Internet account receive information
by E-mail indicating how to access and use the patches in this
directory and are notified (also by E-mail) whenever a new update
becomes available. Without this information, these files are useless!
