Living in Cape Town has its benefits. We have some great seaside flying spots. One of them is a place called Milnerton. This is overlooked by Table Mountain to the east and the famous (or infamous) Robben Island out in the bay. With the sun setting and the Royal Cape Yacht Club fleet out for the evening cruise it is an extremely beautiful setting for flying a kite. One evening, with an offshore breeze blowing I was flying my 3/4 sized rainbow coloured stunter out over the water and diving to do a short tip drag then climbing straight up again. Each time I touched the water the circling gulls converged raucously on my kite. I can only presume that they imagined that this big colourful bird was diving for fish and the gulls being the oppurtunists (polite word for thugs) that they are had come over to get in on the action! Well, Bye for now. I hope you all enjoy Fano;-< __________________________________________________________________ Rodger Duffett Internet Address: rodger@ray.uct.ac.za Dept.
