A major problem is that you want to be able to oversteer a buggy (slide the rear end before the front), but this is rather difficult because about 750f the pressure is on one of the rear blades, causing it to grip better and for the front to slide first. This problem has been overcome and they now report a very smooth, fast ride with lots of lateral grip (they can set up the buggies with enough grip that they flip before they slide). First reports are that in low wind (all they have had so far), they can get up to 8 times windspeed! Peter is sufficiently excited by the development that he can see no justification for me not dropping everything to fly out and try it. Unfortunately, I just don't see me finding another BGP1000 of disposable income for the flight before the ice melts :-( Andrew -- Work: gaffer@plx.com Phone: +44 793 614 110 Fax: +44 793 614 297 Play: andrew@tug.com Phone: +44 256 464 912 = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
