Subject: Mail Order Addresses?

Hi!
I am new to this news group.

I am looking for mail-order addresses to buy kites and recommendations
on a good kite for a beginner. My husband fell in love with kiting after
watching a stunt kite demo.

Good to see another person started with that kite. I had the same good
experience you did; you can't kill them!

I'm new to the group to. But I've been flying for about three years
and my first kite I purchased from A kite shop in Ocean City, Md. It
was a Peter Powell "Diamond shapped kite" with a 100 foot tail. It also
came with all the hardware, including handles, and string. All for about
$45.00. I think it was a great kite to learn on because it didn't need to
be balanced or held with a stake. I just threw some sand on it which spilled
off as soon as the kite started to become airborne. Additionally as it was my
first stunt kite, I beat the hell out of it, including dumping it into the
ocean. Which was great fun because once it came back to the surface it would
take off from the water. I now get most of my stuff from "Into The Wind" a
mail order company in Denver (I think). But I've seen advertisements for them
in the classifieds of almost every Magazine I get. including Popular Science,
Smithonian etc. The point of all this is look in the classifieds.
