To make a strong T-joint (e.g. for the cell profiles)
I would recommend tape with only one sticky side:

       | Cell profile
       |
       |
      |||
 Tape ||| Tape
      |||
_____/ | \___________
       \_______
______________________  Kite bottom or top

IMHO, this would distribute the load more evenly
over the joint (connection ? :->) and prevent peel
(not to be confused with these RIP-OFF peels of
some dutch company ...)

No, I have not tried this yet, but if you tell me where
I can get light & _VERY_ sticky tape I will !

Bye, Patrick
