Hi there! I just had a few questions that I thought someone might be able to answer: 1. I used to live in Berkeley (where I first got into kite- flying) and I was often told hat the Berkeley Marina has been rated as THE SECOND BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD for kite- flying. Really? Is this true? If so (or even if not) where is number one? 2. I am currently flying a Cheetah and I was wondering where I should go next. I like the pull of the POWER KITES as much as the agility of the ultra-lites. What should I do? To tell you the truth, since I moved inland (Sacramento area) I haven't been able to get much stable wind, or any wind, for that matter. Where are some other good places around Sacramento? 3. Maybe that should be a seperate question: where are some good places to fly around Sacramento? 4. What's the deal with KITE PHOTOGRAPHY? It sounds cool, what's it all about? 5. Are the REVOLUTIONs as cool as I've heard? I guess that's it. I appreciate any responses that this message might be able to muster. Thank you in advance. If anything that I've asked has already been covered in the FAG, I appologize. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. SEND ANY RESPONSES TO MY E-MAIL ADDRESS. Stein Sohn GmbH - Automationstechnik Subject: Re: Only novice, but VERY interested! Hi Kathleen, you ask for the kite-flying place no.1 !!? I think that is not a question !; but I help you and tell you where you can find the place no. one, the best place for kite-flying, I think. First you must fly to germany, "Hamburg". ( Do you know where germany is )? Then take the train (north-way) to "Kiel", that is a nice city near the "Ostsee" (east-sea). Now take an atlas and search for the little city "Schoenberg" near the beach. The name of the beach is "California" (in german "Kalifornien") ,too. That is the best place for "kite-flying"!! In september '93 I 've made holiday in California (USA) for four weeks (from San Francisco to San Diego) (with one of my kites); it was nice, but I think it's only the second best place in the world (for kite-flying). For me (and all kite-flying-people ?) I think the best place is where they live !!?? Come and visit me, you may rest assured !!
