Thats Peterborough in England... I've been told by a friend at work that "theres some sort of kite show on at Peterborough this weekend". He told me this cause he thinks I've flipped and become a kite enthusiast ("there for kids arent they?" was his only other sign of interest :-) ). Anyhow he said it was mentioned on the TV news, but he didnt take too much notice of details like Whereabouts in Peterborough, or on what day! The Great Ouse Kite Fliers are holding a fly-in at Ferry Meadows, Nene Park, Peterborough on Sunday 8 October. At the same time they are doing 'The Mount Everest Challenge'. According to their literature Everest is 29,??? feet high and they hope to have over 29 kites flying up to 1,000 feet each. The event will be sponsored to raise funds for a charity.
