The entire beach is *>packed full<* of kites, kiters and non-kiters. There are special reserved areas for stunters, demos etc. On the far end there is place for individual kiters (also the ones who bought their first kite and are trying in out). So, if you are an expert at untangling lines, there is lots of good work for you to do :-) I mean to say, that *I* would never (again) fly any of my kites there. :=-( (me with tears on my cheeks) If I go there (I doubt it, it is just too crowded on Scheveningen boulevard) I will just walk around and look at many of the really exciting models that are flying around. I may receive a special issue of 'Vlieger' on this festival, and will inform you more. There is a telephone number mentioned in the magazine: 'VLIEGER OP': +31 70 3858586 Actually, the only kite festival I still dare to take my kites down is at Spaarnwoude, between Haarlem and Amsterdam. It (still) is not very full of kiters there. 5 and 6 june (Night kiting _between_ 5 and 6 june). (Right now I am building some *really bright* flashers. If they are succesful and people are intersted, I could send some schematics over rec.kites) Just peg your tent there (officially not allowed, but who cares?)
