Subject: Scorpian Tuning Question

Anyone have any experience tuning Scorpians? I've never been too pleased
with mine. Although it turns on a dime, it seems slow and sluggish. I've
tried the standard thing - moving the clips forward - but then it won't
climb high.

Am I missing something, or am I just spoiled by my first (truly awesome)
kite, a Tori Tako Jacana.

IMHO all english stunters (except Flexis) need to have their bridles
raised at least an inch - some need a two inch upward adjustment. (Let's
get this straight - The mark does not move. The bridle point moves above
the mark.) My Scorpion flies high, floats, stalls, axels (I can finally
do them - Thanks Dodd) and is an incredible light wind flyer without the
top spreader. Try it... You'll like it!

I also exp. the trouble you are having with your scorp. What i found out
was that if you switch the brides Idont remember how they are now but,
if your upper bridle goes to the center tee, then switch it to go to
the lower spreader, then the no adjustable bridle put it where you just
disconnected the adjustable one.
If this is confusing - just reverse the lower pulling points of the bridle
or email and let me know how your bridles are now. dont be afraid of moving
bridles or adding to what you have. sometimes bridles off a similar kite
will work better, I do sell a bridle that will give you a starting point
if you really want to experiment.
