Kiters,

I wanted to let everyone know that it *can* happen!

I was sewing a long seam on a kite I was building. Got to
the end of the seam, lifted the kite away from the sewing machine,
and I had the last 2" of the bobbin thread hanging from the kite!

I guess Murphy was away from his desk - his law predicts that the
thread will run out 1/2 down the seam.

I couple of weeks ago, I was sewing the *final* seam on a kite I was
making and I was worried that I would run out of thread. I watch the
spool slowly unwinding and happily managed to finish the seam with a
good six inches left. At the same time, I noticed, like you, that I
had just run the bobbin out with a couple of inches to spare.

Of course, I had to go out and buy a new spool of thread to sew on the
reinforcements, etc., but you can't have it all ways.

Cheers
Andy
