I recently bought a Hawaiian Spin-off, and there are some mysteries about it doubtless many of you can answer in your sleep: Bottom spreader rods fall out of center T connector: The two bottom spreader rods fit into the center T connector very, very loosely. They have metal inserts that are threaded, but the kite didn't come with anything to thread into them. I've made them fit snugly by using shims constructed with whatever scrap paper I have on me at flight time. Second, the kite came with a spare 14 inch piece of spar, but it doesn't in any way match a working piece of the kite. It is tapered at one end and has a forked end at the other.. Any assistance with resolving these mysteries would be appreciated. == Bob Coggeshall == Cogwheel Inc. (pardon my rewording - Hope the ideas got through) I respond... The metal pieces fit into the bottom spreaders (the ends that go into the T) to prevent the fiberglass crushing into each other inside the connector. Perhaps they are the wrong size? The fit is not exactly snug, but pressure against the sail during flight keeps things together usually. Shims work too. The 14 inch piece sounds like the keel extender >From a Sizzle. TOTL has been known to include wrong parts on occasion. Reputable retailers always want to help their customers. Have you contacted yours? The manufacturer is also very interested in providing quality assistance to their customers. Have you contacted them? BTW, the 14 inch piece is not tapered... it has a ferrule installed to fit into the spine of the Sizzle. Careful with descriptions as they do tend to confuse if used improperly. I hope this has been of help, If not, someone else made me say these things. AOXO coreykite@aol.com = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
