First I would intro myself. I'm Torsten Schmitt from Hamburg / Germany. I flew most of my last events in Europe and Hawaii with a stack of three Speedwings. Last year season we had only two flyers in Europe which prefer the Speedwing. The other guy was Gerhard Schroff. So I might have experience in flying Speedwings. First my question to you: Is your Speedwing custom made by Thomas Erfurth ( Germany )??. May be your own is a copy. If not I may say to you following: First I must know something about your harness system. I need all length from top ring to the clips, also length from clip to the connector (each side). If I know this I can help you in flying. And of course I may give you my special adjustment. But the adjustment is of course different to a single Speedwing. I used my Speedwings in all winds. Really, also in almost no winds like in Hawaii this year!!. Do you know my good friend Ray Bethell from Vancouver??. He has got from me a special designed three stack Speedwing. I used this stack also in some events last year. Perhaps you can meet him in future. Ask him for the stack. He could show you my adjustment on this stack.( Don't forget my best wishes to Ray!! ). But don't forget the pull of this stack is enorm. It's really good in light winds. For strong wind you should use gauze in all three sails. Ask me for this....I can help. Of course also the designer in Germany. For this I may give you the faxnumber from Thomas Erfurth : + 49 6192 25946 He is selling all variations of Speedwings. ( It's better to use an original, not a copy !!! ) ;-))))) The Speedwing is fast, but very precise. Because the way in flying an competition changed....I will use my Speedwings only in Train Kite Ballet. It's difficult to do tricks. So stops and leading edge touches are surely not enough in individual competition. That's the reason for me of using my Edge and Northshore in competition. Last year Europe Cup I flew on fifth Overall with Speedwings ( you see the kite is good for competition ) So I hope you will get a chance for using Speedwings in competition! :-)) Therefore my best wishes and ask for help.....I will do it!!!!! If you send me the length...please do it in metric size. It's much easier for me to help.Oh yes I must learn yours! ;-)) Send an email in Rec.Kites or PM to: Torsten Schmitt@HH.maus.de Good luck and... Keep it flying high Torsten ( STACK Germany ) = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
