Ok, so I got a Flexi Stranger yesterday. I flew it today and found it to be very different from my Impulse and Scorpion. It weighs more than either of the others, but 'feels' much lighter. It's absolutely silent, very slow, and does the most complex stuff I've ever seen. (Not that I've seen that much.) I wouldnt call myself an expert in any way, but I learned to axel the kite in both directions in five minutes. Easy to launch, and in todays 2-4mph winds it was really happy. I cant see it liking anything above 15mph though, as it is rather 'spidery'. Don't expect anything but ballet and finesse, fly it on short lines and in light winds. It'll take some getting used to, but it seems to be a great kite. Anyone else have an opinion? bruce.f bforest@bliss.demon.co.uk = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Thu, 24 Nov 1994 02:19:32 -1000 From: tom@minster.york.ac.uk (Tom Jackson) Message-Id: <785679572.13240@minster.york.ac.uk> Organization: Department of Computer Science, University of York, England Subject: Re: Stranger.. bforest/london (bliss@bliss.demon.co.uk) wrote: : Ok, so I got a Flexi Stranger yesterday. Also has the promised(?) video about flying the stranger been included in the price? thanks, tom. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Thu, 24 Nov 1994 15:32:55 -1000 From: bliss@bliss.demon.co.uk (bforest/london) Message-Id: Organization: Subwoofer Subject: Re: Stranger.. I paid 89 pounds, and i've seen it in a few shops at that price. yes, for that price you get the kite, a free video of Andy Preston flying the kite (awesome), and more oversteer than you'll ever use. Is this a joke??? It seems we can't go more than a week or 2 without a question and answer session about the Stranger. I really don't mean to criticize the person writing the question, I doubt this is in the faq.
