I'm trying to keep a kind of tricks database up-to-date by reading rec.kites and extracting what I think is usefull/new/nice/.... What I need is people who read this stuff and give constructive comments on the contents and lay-out. So all you rec.kiters that know how to perform stunts WELL, take a look and see if I've put my foot in my mouth often :-) I don't know if it's feasable to add trick inventors and dates of birth (of the trick that is!). I don't want to get caught in "it's mine...NO it's MINE..no it's HIS" quarrels.... :-) Anyway, here's where it's at: http://www.win.tue.nl/win/cs/fm/pp/kites/basics/flying.html Peter -- Peter Peters, pp@win.tue.nl, http://www.win.tue.nl/win/cs/fm/pp/ Like kites.... look at http://www.win.tue.nl/win/cs/fm/pp/kites/ and http://www.kfs.org/kites/ = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Mon, 11 Sep 1995 01:22:08 -1000 From: Andy Wardley Message-Id: Organization: Peritas Multimedia Subject: Re: Tricks database Peter Peter's Tricks Page... >What I need is people who read this stuff and give constructive >comments on the contents and lay-out. So all you rec.kiters that >know how to perform stunts WELL, take a look and see if I've put >my foot in my mouth often :-) I think you have slightly confused the three tricks that came out of my "540 flat spin" post. The trick you have described under "Strobe" is actually the 540 flat spin. A Flash is the same trick but starting with a 45 degree dive, and a Strobe is that, but with more than one spin. Of course, this is all subject to the "what people call different tricks" problem which I'm not sure we've resolved. You might want to add "According to Andy Wardley..." or "in the UK..." as some sort of disclaimer. Apart from that, it's looking good.
