Unfortunately, the only store near me that seems to have it is a lumberyard/home-improvement-center, and the smallest quantity I can buy is a roll 5 feet wide and 200 feet long for $98. This is much more than I need, for a much higher price than I'd like to pay. Now, since Tyvek is intended to be used for wrapping houses, I'm not really surprised that it comes in this kind of quantity. But since several of the "how to make kites" books mention it, I was wondering whether anyone has come upon a way to acquire it in smaller quantity. It seems that it might be a very nice, and cheap, material. Thanks. Both are white and come in many different thickness. Call if you would like some #10, 36" or 46" wide, white, non-printed, 1 yd. min.
