I figured I could safely handle it after flying my Quadrifoil quite a bit and flying other people's Revs in lighter wind. In my eagerness, I had decided not to look for a good stake. I settled for a 1/4" dowel which I whittled sharp at one end. Upon arriving at the field and setting up the lines, I proceeded to launch the kite. Much to my terror, my brand new kite zoomed straight up. Its quite a bit snappier than the quadrifoil, :) and I really oversteered it. As the wind whistled through the lines, I oversteered the kite into an uncontrollable spin, watching with tears in my eyes as it crashed into the ground, and bounced. Then it crashed again. In trying to land it, I stepped on the makeshift stake, breaking it off at the ground. No one was around to hold the lines while I took down the kite. I ended up chasing it around the field, and learning some good lessons. ;) Good winds to everyone, Jason Stotter jason.stotter@oubbs.telecom.uoknor.edu = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
