The action is a deflated free fall, nose down from high up in the center of the wind window. To execute the maneuver, fly the kite on a vertical path up the center of the wind window. Position your hands down near your hips. At your choice of desired elevation, quickly cast one hand toward the kite as you walk or run down wind. The kite will deflate and free fall, nose down with the lines creating an upward arc to the kite. Consentrate on the amount of arc in the lines and be prepared to re-establish tension in the lines just before the kite hits the ground. This provides teams with the opportunity for a dramatic vertical thread combination whereby two kites coming up thread with two kites free falling down. My team played with this concept in 1987 and 1988. We never put it into a routine. Still Learning and Sharing, Ron Reich
