In case you have no idea what's the whole Buggy-naked thing is about, have a look at the Official buggy naked homepage. To the left you could see the handmade pin made of silver.

Last year, during the rec.kiters meeting at Fanoe, several european buggiers decided to do a joint trial to qualify for the buggy naked pin. A time and place was announced, but unfortunately I was so busy doing other things that I forgot to prepare for the challenge. I realised that I have missed the event when all of a sudden there were several naked, white backs shining in the midday sun, but it was too late for me to find my kite and buggy and trade it for my clothes. So I decided to postpone the qualification until next year.

This time, I was eagerly determined to try this back-to-nature version of buggying. I qualified on Sunday without anything of my usual equipment. I was riding a borrowed Peter Lynn buggy with my Sput when I decided to do some naked buggying (Peter and Emiel did not want to join me). At the moment I decided to do it, one line of my Sput broke, so I had get rid of my clothes and the kite and borrowed Bernhards 3m^2 Quadri. I buggied for some minutes near and in the water and Peter took some proofing-pictures (thanx again for the great pictures you took, Peter). Unfortunately the wind was a little low for the Quad so I found myself sitting in a hollow filled with water and not being able to get out again while several spectators standing nearby to watch. It was rather cold at this time. If you put a quarter between your thumb and the index finger and watch the distance, that's exactly how cold it was. Anyway, great fun for me and for the spectators, too. Nicole later complained that I did not inform her in time, she only saw the end of the show (that was me running back to my clothes).
