The " 3 Stack of Speedwings and the Hyper kites" are among the few kites that will ground launch from face down on surfaces like freshly mowed grass and packed sand. I haven't tried on soft sand but it wouldn't surprise me if they did. The technique is a good firm jirk as you take several quick steps backwards. Still Learning and Sharing, Ron Reich
