As far as ripstop goes, nothing special, just lots of practise. Sail
cloth of 3/4 oz. is easier to work with than 1 1/2 oz. Any good
sail cloth is what you want. I started several years ago with
clothing grade ripstop bought at a fabric store locally, and it
is a real BITCH to work with, so avoid it.
